Apple Nut Bread

| Ingredients: |
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1 cup Brown sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 3 cup Self-rising flour
- 2 cup Grated apple
- 3/4 cup Chopped nuts
- 1 tsp Grated lemon peel
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 3/4 cup Buttermilk

| Directions: |
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Grease & flour a shallow glass or metal baking pan. (maybe an 8 x 11 size) cream butter & sugar together. Beat in eggs. Combine in another bowl flour, apples, nuts, lemon peel, cinnamon & nutmeg. Mix well. Mix into creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Pour into baking pan. Bake until toothpick comes out clean. About 30 minutes. Cool before eating. Cut into squares to serve.
