Tempura Batter

| Ingredients: |
- 150 g Strong plain flour
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 2 Tbs White wine vinegar
- 1 Egg
|
| Directions: |
- Sift the flour into a bowl and make a well in the centre. Add some salt and pepper. Pour 175ml very cold water, vinegar and beaten egg into the well.
- Whisk the liquids together then gradually whisk in the flour from the sides to make a smooth batter. Strain the batter through a fine sieve before using.
